Right this is the latest so far, I am trying to get it translated to German but that is currently someone elses problem
This is from teh Scoobynet webmaster Simon.
OK. It seems this is way harder to organise than the event itself, as just getting everyone to sign in here doesn't seem possible!
But.. this is what we planned, and I'm going to need your help now to see if we can still pull it off, as we've lost more time than I expected trying to get everyone together :
ScoobyLIVE 2007 is all about Europe getting together. Us brits are notorious for thinking nothing exists outside of our tiny island, so it really important to me that we all at least recognise what a following there is for Subarus across Europe and join together in a show of united friendship, so I came up with the "ScoobyLIVE Torch!"
Not actually a torch, but a symbol of the event - the winner's trophy.
The idea is for it to start off at elvington in the next couple of weeks, and have the UK representative drive it from Elvington, through the tunnel to Calais, and meet the French representative, who will drive it up to belgium and so on.
And so that everyone can monitor progress, we intend to pass on a gps tracking device which plugs into the cigarette lighter and will allow everyone to tune in and watch its progress.
Eventually, the trophy will arrive back in the UK and possibly go through wales, ireland, northern ireland, isle of man, and scotland, back to england again.
Everyone involved will receive an individually printed t-shirt commemorating your involvement and will live on in the scoobynet hall of fame which will be published after the event
The idea is to allow us all to symbolically work together and show that we're all one group of motoring enthusiasts having fun, rather than the boy racers we are sometimes portrayed to be.
Please let me have your thoughts on :
a) what you think of the idea.
b) how feasible you think it will still be
c) if you are still interested in helping.
