Why - Car Trouble

Can someone please tell me why no Subaru dealer here can seem to figure out what is wrong with my car! There is this squeaking noise everytime I drive, when cornering mostly. I first took it to the dealer here in Mannheim. 3 times it was there to be fixed, 3 times they were supposed to have fixed it, 500EU for parst and labor, 300EU for a rental car later, it was still not fixed. So, I took the car to Frankfurt. They said it was something with the brakes. 300EU later for parts and labor, 200 EU for rental car, the problem was suppoed to have been fixed. Now the car is making the noise again, and it sounds HORRIBLE. What can I do???? I am tired of giving the dealers money over and over again when the problem is not getting fixed. Does anyone know a RELIABLE mechanic around Heidelberg that knows what they are doing? Is there anything I can do legally to get my money back from these dealers since the problem has not been fixed?

Please help!!!

Ok, good luck. Hope that's it. An axle actually isn't quiet cheap, but at last it's easily replaced.

Hi Susie,

good to hear that your problem is solved. Next time you have a problem or need maintenance I would advise to check the Subaru Dealer in Hirschberg. Coming from Heidelberg driving down A5 towards Weinheim (Frankfurt direction) its the Hirschberg exit befor the "Weinheimer Kreuz". Getting off the A5 and hitting the direction to Hirschberg he is easy to find. I had our 92 Legcay there for repair twice now (Timing Belt / Clutch) and I am very satisfied with the service and the prices. They are a relatively small dealer but definitly worth a try.

Enjoy your Subaru!

Frank

Edit: I guess you have an APO adress or at least access to it. Order the axle in the states, I paid somewhere arround 120,- Dollars for mine including shipping. It would have been even cheaper if I had send the old one back. In Germany I couldn't even get a used one for that price !

Yes I have an APO address but the problem with ordering parts from the states it takes like 3 weeks for it to get here. By the time they arrive I would have had to pay for a rental car for that long and it is well over the cost of what it is for me just to get the part here.. catch 22. As soon as my new car gets here though, that is what I will do when I need parts. The dealer in the states actually gives us there cost and ships them for free.

Thank you again for all of your help!
