I'd be curious how this affects VDC operation for the newer cars. We know the effects of a Q-rack on an 08+ STI are disastrous, VDC has to be disabled.
It is pretty critical that actual steering angle through the wheel is what the VDC programming expects. Modifying the steering travel without a corresponding adjustment of the steering angle sensor is no good.
It is possible this Perrin kit being much much milder than a Q-rack might still work. I didn't read enough yet to see if you have to turn off the VDC. Doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I had used this with VDC on with the stock ECU, and with the VDC off. I never noticed anything out of the ordinary with it. Meaning i would still see the VDC flash with sharp/hard 1st gear corners and then under high speed corners at the track it did just fine. I did try most of the time with the VDC set to the "green" mode where its more forgiving. Then of course off is still the best way to get the most from it and your STI.
Question
I definitely see how it would work, but I would be interested in seeing if the PS pump could keep up with it. There would be a greater load put on the pump as leverage has been reduced. One issue that many autoxers and track drivers run into is boiling the PS fluid due to this load. May work on the street, but track and autox would be interesting.

A definite concern for sure. I have been using this for 2 years and no a single PS issue. We have thought about offering a kit to bump up the pressure or change the pulley to help the higher leverage. But that is one of the things i really like about how it feels. The steering feel is slightly heavier.
