Interesant, oder? Gefunden im amerikanischen I-Club.
Jetzt brauchen wir nur noch jmd, der die Quelle in Europa auftut...
------------
Guys,
I have just been alerted to this thread. I do not know where some of you guys get your information from, but I can say with absolute certainty the APS intercooler core is not even remotely similar to any other brand of WRX intercooler manufactured in Australia. Fact is we use the best heat exchanger cores manufactured - period. The cores are not manufactured in Australia but are
fully imported from Europe - as used in European Supercars - and manufactured to O.E.M. standards as APS has done in our 20 years of manufacturing high performance intercoolers.
As always, size is important. In reality, the heat exchanger efficiency is paramount to performance. The actual width and height of the core (surface area) is critical in terms of cooling performance and our additional internal intercooler passages over other brands, further enhances airflow by reducing pressure drop particularly at high horsepower levels.
For the record, we believe the APS TMIC is the largest available world wide being 675 cubic inches (nearly 2.6 times the size of the standard intercooler) and as weener_rex correctly pointed out, the APS attention to detail is second to none. At $725 USD, the APS TMIC represents great value to our customers and surely provides high performance at an affordable cost.
I trust that this clarifies these issues.
