ECU revision sti 2003

Hi,

I have bought the wpsm software and had a strange discovery when I tried the software. It seems like the sw thinks I have a sti 7(2001-2002) ECU:AG821/2593.

My car is actually a STI -2003 which is supposed to have another revision.
Could the ecutek' remap make the monitor software into detecting the wrong euc?
Does anybody know why this would be?

For everybodies info!

I have been in contact with Steven Done at ecutek and he confirms that a reflash with ecutek can change the 'software based' revision number in the ecu.
This is not a problem since in my case the map is custom-mapped to my STI 8, it is just a label that states the older STI 7 revision...

This is not a problem in the wpsm-software, infact the std. subaru monitor will read the same revision...
