I don't understand - my 2.2 ('96 combi, manual) will not go under 11/100 l/km and driving at 180 km/h means 13+/100. It reacts cleanly to the throttle at all rpm's, doesn't matter if it's full or easy gas. Only with the cold engine in the cold months, the car stutters (ruckelt, I believe) at takeoff, unless under slightly more RPM and with a very easy clutch. Five minutes later, it's clean acceleration in all situations.
The quality of fuel (here in Serbia) might play a role, but its hard to believe that it can account for up to 50% more consumption. Should I maybe ask the Subaru people to set it to a thinner mixture, or may that cause damage?
This with a note regarding the service here: They fix what they're told and do a good job, but aren't very helpful when it comes to details such as this, so I ask your collective experience.
Thanks and regards to all,
Boris
