Dear All,

I am living in Switzerland, but I do not speak German unfortunately. I bought an Outback here(3.0R, 2004) and I do not have winter wheels for it. Can somebody advise where could I buy wheels with the parameters: 7x17, 5x100, ET48? (I live in Dübendorf) I found the original Subaru wheels a bit too expensive..

Dear finest23,

try to have a close look to a well known auction platform. From time to time you will find several rims to buy.

Please regard that you also can use rims in 16 inches:
6 1/2 x 16 ET48 mm
for example from Outback BE/BH, the former model or Outback 2,5i BP (the actual one) or Forester S-turbo, etc.

I'm driving a 3,0R, too and searched over 1 year for 17 inches rims for summer use ...

Yes my 2nd thought was that I will buy a 7x16 wheel and use it with a 215/60 tyre. Thats pretty close to the 7x17 215/55 combo.

Anyway yes it is a pain to find this type of wheel....I spent countless hours on the net

Hi Finest23,

I'm a owner of a Legacy Diesel My08 (not Outback). I can use also 205/55 R16.
It's possible that you can use this tires on an Outback, too. Please take a look in your papers.
205/55 R16 are very cheap!

@Meuter,

sorry - the size you mentioned is not possible. The smallest is 205/60 R 16 which I can't recommend on an Outback.
It's my actual winter tire size and I will change to 215/60 R 16. On wet roads driving with a 3,0R is a slippery thing with these cutting wheels.
